“Now is the winter of our discontent” is the opening line of William Shakespeare's play Richard III. It's one of Shakespeare's most famous lines. Certainly one of the most famous reniditions is by Lord (Baron) Laurence Olivier from the movie of the same name. These comercials often portryed an idealistic, lavish or advernturous lifestyle that had very little to do with the product itself. This form of advertising is no better illustrated than by this Peter Stuyversand commercial from 1985. "When it’s sun up in Malibu its midnight in Monte Carlo.
